Wet Technologies manufactures engineered, liquid abrasive (wet blast) and pressurized water surface processing and cleaning systems. Our offerings include a standard line of basic and upgradeable manually operated machines, automated configurations, and custom engineered systems. All of our products are offered with a selection of maintenance friendly, closed-loop filtration and rinse subsystems, which are designed to reduce filtered waste to a low volume form for economical removal.
At Wet Technologies Inc. we offer liquid abrasive systems geared toward the customer application. Our standard equipment utilizes our own specially designed slurry pump for heavy duty use, extended wear life, wide range concentration, and continuous cycle applications.
The Wet Tech Process
Our motor driven, vortex pump is oversized to produce up to 100% more slurry than is required by the nozzle(s). Upon starting the system, this excess volume is diverted after the pump outlet to a series of stir nozzles, which point down into the sump and agitate the contents into a well-mixed, repeatable slurry. The volume required for blasting is diverted from the pump outlet to the nozzle(s), where compressed air is added and adjusted by a dial regulator to control the air/slurry mix. Finishes from mild cleaning, profiling and polishing using fine to medium materials, to de-burring, oxidation, paint, and scale removal using aggressive abrasives are common.
Advantages over other methods

- Can eliminate embedding of media into the surface.
- Combining the addition of an immersion heater with special filtration, oils and greasy dirt can be removed in rebuilding and remanufacturing applications such as automotive and aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul also known as MRO for engines, landing gear, and airframes.
- The ability to clean down into fine cracks and pores makes it an excellent and often specified process to prepare for liquid penetrant inspection (LPI).
- Closed loop filtration is no longer an option in industry; it’s mandatory, and included as standard equipment on our base manual systems.
- Surfaces are left clean and dust free. No dust collectors are required.
- Reduced or no warping. No heat build up on surfaces.
Automated and Custom Engineered Systems
All of our automated self-contained systems are designed to meet customer production requirements. Our engineering team has many years experience in this field, having built successful systems, and relationships with customers in the aviation, automotive and heavy equipment, vacuum pump, semi-conductor, rebuilding, remanufacturing, medical, and machining industries.
Applications include chemical free descaling, deburring, composite etching, deoiling, surface improvement for smoothness and cosmetic appearance.
