We define the “Wet Tech” process as a water based medium driven by a special pump, depending on the application, through a nozzle(s) across the surface of a part to enact a desired finish. Combine this general description with a customer oriented approach implementing over 50 years of engineering and sales background, standardized designs and customer assistance utilizing print and video media with hands on factory and trained distribution support, and you have the “Wet Tech” experience.
Most traditional wet blast systems rely on limited technologies such as suction, low volume diaphragm, and low concentration pump designs. At Wet Technologies Inc. we offer liquid abrasive systems geared toward the customer application. Our standard equipment utilizes our own design urethane vortex submerged pump for heavy duty use, extended wear life, wide range concentration, and continuous cycle applications.
Our motor driven, vortex pump is oversized to produce up to 100% more slurry than is required by the nozzle(s). Upon starting the system, this excess volume is diverted after the pump outlet to a series of stir nozzles, which point down into the sump and agitate the contents into a well-mixed, repeatable slurry. The volume required for blasting is diverted from the pump outlet to the nozzle(s), where compressed air is added and adjusted by a dial regulator to control the air/slurry mix. Finishes from mild cleaning, profiling and polishing using fine to medium materials, to de-burring, oxidation, paint, and scale removal using aggressive abrasives are common.

All of our automated self-contained systems are designed to meet customer production requirements. Our engineering team has many years experience in this field, having built successful systems, and relationships with customers in the aviation, automotive, semi-conductor, rebuilding and machining industries.
In many industrial applications, water only, elevated in temperature and pumped at high volume or high pressure through nozzles can be effective as a cleaning, oil removal, de-flashing and de-scaling medium. Wet Technologies manufactures custom engineered systems using this process in the automotive, nuclear, semi-conductor, precision, and general cleaning industries where the use of abrasive slurry is unnecessary and/or undesirable. High pressure systems are available for applications requiring from 500 to 10,000 psi, in most cases, closed loop.
Wet Technologies Inc. is an American owned company. Our machines are manufactured here in the United States.
