High Concentration High Flow Wet Slurry Blasting by Wet Technologies: Stainless Steel Part with an Even Matte Finish

So this is a machined stainless steel part and the reason that we've been asked at WET Technologies to look at it is because if you look down inside you'll see that cross passageway which comes from this opening. And that passageway has a very, very light burr,

but they were trying to remove it manually, and they even tried dry blasting. None of these things worked.

They tried a low-concentration wet system, and they had to turn the air pressure up so high that it was peening the part and pitting it.

That's the reason that the customer came to Wet Technologies. So what we've done

with the part is by selecting the correct media and the correct high concentration as well as a high flow, we're able to get the inside of the part deburred

nicely without impinging any material into the surface, get a very even finish.

And then the customer asked us to go ahead and process the outside of the part to produce a nice, even matte finish as well.
